Simple and To The Point
Bible- Proverb/day - chapter/day - verse/week
Math- Saxon 5/4 - lesson/day - living math - games
Spelling- Natural Speller - list of words/week - activities change daily - test on Friday
Reading- daily - with Mom
Handwriting- (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) - journal, copywork, letter writing
Grammar- (Tuesday and Thursday) - Easy Grammar - most done orally
History/Science- Unit study format - alternating subjects (ie. 3 weeks of science/ 6 weeks of history)
Extra- Seasonal, nature study, crafts - as time allots
Literature- read aloud daily - unit study related - children's classics - poetry - Shakespeare
We are in the process of becoming a part of a homeschool group... something I never thought I'd do. Nic is also interested in joining a local 4H group, and possible taking an art class. As for physical education... he's a pretty active kid. I don't really worry as to if he's getting enough exercise. Trust me... he is:)
That's it. In a nutshell. I will go into specifics in tomorrows post, and will continue to do so weekly... hopefully with some photos.
